Snowy Owl Griffin Paper Doll

I thought it would be fun to make a crossover between Tiny Worlds Paper Dolls and Reading Dragons and Friends. Snowy Owl is one of my favorite cards. I love his cute little owly face, and the soft blues.

When I am not working at the Dover Public Library I create illustrations under the name Paper Fable. Mostly I make paper dolls, but I am also working on board games, because I am obsessed with them. I started making paper dolls during the pandemic as something fun I could share online for families stuck at home.

I am attaching a printable pdf below for you to use with your library kids. There are instructions, a colored paper doll, a paper doll coloring page to color yourself, and a giant paper doll if you want to make an extra large set for your library play area.

These paper dolls are a little bit different from the paper dolls I grew up with. They do not have paper tabs. I don’t know if you found paper tabs as frustrating as I did, but I didn’t like how they would fold funny or get torn off after a few uses. These dolls are designed to either lay flat or be stuck together with sticky tack or another removeable adhesive, like velcro dots or double sided tape. I personally like to laminate them so they are super sturdy for small hands.

The other change is that all paper dolls made for Tiny Worlds can share clothing. I remember getting paper doll books with two little friends that were standing in different poses, so they could only wear the clothes made for them and not wear each other’s clothing. So I made it a point that all dolls would have the same pose and body shape. Not using folding tabs also made this easier to do.

I hope you enjoy this paper doll!
